THARROS PLACE: CULTIVATING A CULTURE OF COURAGE

Tharros Place provides support and shelter for survivors of human trafficking by providing residential services for girls between the ages of 12-17. Tharros, meaning courage in Greek, is the motivating force for survivors which allows them to envision the future that they desire for themselves. SERVICES

Tharros Place delivers a full continuum of individualized, survivor-centered services, including personalized case planning, individual and group therapy, healthcare coordination, family communication and reunification support, educational services, life skills development, community enrichment activities, job training, mentoring, and volunteer opportunities.

​Staff receive ongoing, specialized training in Commercial Sexual Exploitation of Children (CSEC) care, trauma-informed practices, behavior management, Trust-Based Relational Intervention (TBRI), and cultural competency. ​Through strong partnerships with schools, healthcare providers, and community organizations, Tharros Place ensures coordinated care that empowers youth to build resilience, develop essential life skills, and move toward independence.
