Residential Advisor Specialist

As a RAS at Tharros Place, you’d provide care for survivors of human trafficking, girls ages 12-17, creating a stabilizing and nurturing environment that promotes well-being and permanency. 

Responsibilities:  

  • Provide assistance at the program by enforcing rules, modeling positive behavior, and serving as a mentor for youth.
  • Provide for the daily needs, care, protection, and supervision of youth in the program.
  • Oversee daily operations of the program including completing necessary paperwork such as daily logs, incident reports, and medication administration as necessary.
  • Organize and facilitate recreational activities including games, physical fitness, and scheduled events on a daily basis.
  • Assess group dynamics and collaborate with team members to create activities for desired outcomes such as relationship building, positive social interaction, and improved self-confidence.
  • Responsible for the overall cleanliness and maintenance of the campus/program.

Requirements:

  • Minimum Age 21.
  • High school diploma or GED and 
  • Clearance of criminal background, DMV, and drug screenings.
  • CPR & First Aid certified.
  • Attention to detail and the ability to solve problems responsibly.
  • Preferred: One to two years of experience working with youth or an Associates degree in Human Services or a related field.
